choice your vacation here will be a truly unforgettable one!
Blessed with an unbelievable coastline, Anguilla has some of the
best beaches in the world. The sand here is a gorgeous white with
the ocean a rich turquoise color, playing host to a wealth of marine
life from stunning coral formations to a variety of brightly colored
tropical fish. The best beach on Anguilla has to be Rendezvous Bay
on the island’s west coast. This beach strip is known for
its warm clam waters and expensive hotels. There is even a great
little beach bar here that attracts people of all ages. Another
favorite beach has to be Shoal Bay with its sliver white sands and
superb underwater coral. Considered to be one of the best beaches
in the Caribbean, Shoal Bay is the prefect place for a snorkeling
adventure.
Another popular beach in Anguilla has to be Maundays Bay. Home to
one of the best resorts in the world the Cap Juluca, this beach has
some wonderful swimming and snorkeling, and when the wind picks up
it becomes a windsurfing and sailing hotspot as well. For a more quiet
beach vacation try the Island Harbor Beach on Anguilla’s northeastern
coast. A tranquil place, the waters here are a brilliant blue. If
you prefer a little more action, head on to Road Bay Beach where there
is a watersports center for all to enjoy.
There are also a number of museums and art galleries on the island
as well that exhibit not only many interesting ancient artifacts,
but numerous modern art works also. A fantastic place to visit is
the Anguilla National Trust Museum with its many historic relics.
This museum additionally arranges tours too. Another place definitely
worth visiting is the St. Gerard Catholic Church. Built in the 1800’s,
this very large church has a fascinating facade and was recently
restored to its former glory a few years back.
