Snorkeling & Diving in the Cayman Islands

Snorkeling and Diving in the Cayman Islands Snorkeling and diving are two of the best activities to enjoy in the Cayman Islands due to its extensive marine park system in place. Here you can find an endless number of dive spots and snorkeling zones, which are ideal for divers of any level. Currently, there are over 250 moored sites with an abundance of diving possibilities to choose from. All three Cayman Islands have excellent dive operations.

A world class diving zone, the Grand Cayman Island has some 160 dive destinations for you to choose. While some of these hotspots offer wreck dives, others are teeming with a plethora of marine life and stunning coral. You can also find incredible drop offs to swim and explore. At present there are over 50 dive operators on the island, all of whom offer guided excursions, dive tours, equipment rental and certification courses.

For a truly spectacular diving excursion you must visit Stingray City which sits just offshore from Grand Cayman. Also remember to bring a camera along for pictures as some of the sights you see here are unbelievable. A 12 foot deep dive, Stingray City is where most stingrays in the area come for a bite to eat. As you dive down, you will come across these sleek yet potent killing machines who feast on squids and other smaller fish.

Off Cayman Brac you will find around 141 dive sites to explore. The most intriguing site has to be the sunken shipwreck Captain Keith Tibbetts, which is one of the main diving attractions in the area.

Little Cayman also offers some truly fabulous dives and is considered by many as a diving mecca, with divers from all over the globe coming here to take a plunge. The Bloody Bay Marine Park here offers some exhilarating dives with numerous walls to see and explore. There are 57 dive sites off Little Cayman.
