Jamaica Nightlife
One of the best things about coming to Jamaica
besides the beautiful beaches is the nightlife here. This island
is known as one of the best places to party in the Caribbean,
with the fun going on here till the wee hours of the morning. There
are a number of nightclubs, bars, discos and restaurants here to
keep you busy from sunset to sunrise.
Kingston and Montego
Bay are the best cities to party in Jamaica; however, Negril
is fast catching up with its own vibrant nightlife. In Kingston,
one of the best and most happening clubs to visit is the Quad located
on Trinidad Tce. The Quad is actually four different nightclubs
all rolled into one building. On the main floor is a jazz club,
while in the basement is the gentleman’s club, Taboo. The
top two floors belong to the Voodoo Lounge and Oxygen dance clubs,
where you can find young people partying all night long.
Another hip nightclub in the city is Asylum that is always crowded from Tuesdays to Sundays. The club is closed Monday nights, while Wednesdays here are popular for playing vintage reggae and modern tracks.
In the town of Ocho Rios, two of the most popular nightclubs are Amnesia and Roofe Club.
For some great parties Montego Bay is the place to be. Jimmy Buffett’s Margritaville is the most trendy nightclub in the city with 4 open air bars and dance floors on decks that sit over the water. The Rum Jungle is another exciting bar to visit. For some alternative entertainment, visit the Blue Beat Jazz and Blues Bar if you like a slow pace of fun. Fro gamblers, the Coral Cliff Gaming Lounge is a great place to play slots, with over 100 video slot machines set up here.
In Negril, the reggae concerts are the stuff of legends with many big name acts coming here to play especially during peak tourist season every night. Big name acts like Shaggy usually play at the MXIII and the Roots Bamboo. Jungles is one of the best nightclubs here.
