Things to do in Saint Martin

There are plenty of things to do in Saint Martin with a number of all inclusive resorts out here offering their guests a wide range of activities. Children can also enjoy this tiny Caribbean paradise with trips to places like the Butterfly Farm, which let kids get up close and personal with a number of beautiful butterfly species.

Windsurfing is a popular activity in Saint Martin, with a windsurfing club at Orient Beach. This club rent windsurfers as well as surf boards and boogie boards with courses on hand for the novice surfer. If you like, Orient Beach also has a horseback riding club that lets you rent horses for rides up and down the coast.

For the more active tourist, you can always try your hand at hiking up Paradise Peak, the highest point on Saint Martin. Not only will you be rewarded with some stunning views of the surrounding area, but the trails pass through some lovely wooded areas, where you can spot a number of colorful birds as well as some lovely and vibrant tropical plants.

Saint Martin also offers some good swimming and snorkeling as well. Baie Rouge and Ilet Pinel are two good places to explore the underwater beauty this island has to offer. If you are interested in diving, you will need to head to Philipsburg in Sint Maarten, which offers around 10 dive sites to explore at Proselyte Reef.
