Things to do in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a fantastic place with lots of activities to enjoy. One of the best things to do here has to be diving, with some of the best dive conditions on the planet. The waters here offer some truly incredible underwater visibility and with warm water temperatures most of the year, you have a world class dive destination.

Extensive coral reefs can be found in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines with the seabed home to colorful sponges, black coral, soft coral, elkhorn coral and branching gorgonians. Here you can also find many a sunken shipwreck with tiny iridescent fish, rays, sharks, eels and turtles all living here. Dive spots here range from the shallow to the deep and are suitable for divers of all ages. Both novice and experienced divers alike can enjoy a wealth of dive zones to explore in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

To go diving here, most resorts offer their own courses, trips and packages for beginners as well as more expert divers. However, many dive shops can also be found on Saint Vincent’s which offer their own packages as well as night dive. All of the major islands have a dive shop.

For those who want to try out some other water sports sailing is also a popular pastime in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Here sailing conditions are top notch with many resorts renting Hobie Cats and Sunfish boats. The snorkeling is also great out here with some good windsurfing conditions.

If you want to spend some time on land, there are some good hiking trails on the island of Saint Vincent. One of the best and most challenging hikes has to be the one up the La Soufriere Volcano with some truly stunning views of the surrounding area.
